Fire gripped the angel's thigh
as her feathers fell upon his face.
Her ever growing enchantments
had helped to feed the blaze.
Heaven held above him,
as he pulls her to the flames
and now they mourn our fallen souls
where our ashes still remain.
They threw regret into the wind
and traded souls for just one kiss.
A single touch was offered
exchanged upon an open wrist.
The angel moved above him
in moments wished to be forever
and when the final drop came down
we took a final breath together.
